CONSULTATION

The LAWTON bespoke process begins with a personal consultation. Sitting down with Kimberley Megan Lawton, the chapters of the process will first be relayed, followed by an inquiry into the personal desires of the individual’s imagined ensemble. Cultural references, proportions, textures and finishings: this initial meeting will refine your fabricated fantasy into an imminent reality.

MEASURES

To bring this imagined form to life, the second stage is simple: initial measurements. Under the careful hand of Kimberley Lawton, head-to-toe, corner-to-corner sizing will be recorded in seventeen steps. This initial template will allow the LAWTON house to proceed with a personal paper pattern, carefully crafted to assemble the baste of your bespoke request.

BASTE FITTING

The baste of a bespoke LAWTON suit is the stage at which the desire starts to take shape. Visually resembling a skeleton-like silhouette, the selected client’s cloth of choice is assembled into a preliminary garment, fitted onto the body to assess the status of the creation and note further refinements. This phase is an opportunity for further discussion and elaboration with Kimberley Lawton.

RECUTTING

To perfect the bespoke proposition at hand, the above process is repeated until the assembled baste fits true to the personal proportions and imaginations of the client. LAWTON looks to elevate your physique to its most idealised form, meaning that phase five of the bespoke process will not be entered until the technical fit of your creation is of the utmost excellence.

FINISHING

Finally, finishing. The last fitting of the process is arranged to ensure the final amendments of a client’s pattern, all of which are then built onto the body of the baste. Upon precise proportions, the delicate details of the ensemble come together – combining the masterful efforts and passions of LAWTON’s leading tailors and finishers. A creation that culminates one’s unique qualities to live in culture.
